Most of the Insurance Policies now we can renew in online only. But to renew some policies we have to reach office or contact agent/Broker. The policies which can be renewed online must be updated with valid national insurance contact details like Mobile number and Email id.

To renew a policy in National Insurance company we can use following 2 ways

  • National Insurance Online Renewal
  • National Insurance Mobile App (NIMA)

National Insurance Renewal

To renew policy using online portal one should know National Insurance Customer ID and Policy number. We can renew policy online portal in 2 ways

National Insurance Renewal Online

  1. Open National Insurance Online Portal nationalinsurance.nic.co.in
  2. Click on more option available at right side of the screen.
  3. More options will open click on Customer login and another 2 options will open in that click on Login.
  4. First, we have to register for online portal using Customer ID. If you are already registered customer login using Customer ID and Password.
  5. After logging in click on Renew Policy option available in middle of the screen. It will open some options like policy from date, to date, vehicle number, policy number.
  6. Enter required details
  7. Click on search. Policy details and premium payable will be shown in the screen.
  8. Click on pay option there will be 2 payment methods will be shown
    • Send payment link -A payment link will be sent to Registered Mobile Number and Email ID.
    • Buy Policy – Directly payment options will open here.
  9. After Successful payment a policy copy will generated and you will receive a message with new policy number and email with policy attachment.
  10. And also, you can find out policy in your portal by clicking View policy option available beside Renew Policy. From there you can download Policy copy PDF.

National Insurance Policy Renewal Without Logging in Online

  1. Open National Insurance login portal
  2. Click on More Option > Click on Quick renewal option.
  3. A page will open asking Policy number which has to be renewed. And enter policy number and captcha click on Renew policy.
  4. The Policy details will open showing Customer Name, Customer ID, Vehicle details like vehicle number, engine and chassis number, contact details of customer, Premium to be paid also will be shown.
  5. Click on the radio button available Bottom of the screen for Payment option available, Below that two Options available
    • Send payment link -A payment link will be sent to Registered Mobile Number and Email ID.
    • Buy Policy – Directly payment options will open here.
  6. After Successful payment a policy copy will generated and you will receive a message with new policy number and email with policy attachment.

National Insurance Policy Renewal in Mobile App

To renew policy using National Insurance mobile app (NIMA) one should know Customer ID and Policy number. We can renew policy in 2 ways.

NIMA Policy Renewal on Login

  1. Download National Insurance Company Mobile App from Play store.
  2. First, we have to register for online portal using Customer ID. If you are already registered customer login using Customer ID and Password.
  3. After logging in click on Renew Policy option available in middle of the screen. It will open some options like policy from date, to date, vehicle number, policy number. Enter any of those details and click on search. Policy details and premium payable will be shown in the screen.
  4. Then click on pay option there will be 2 payment methods will be shown
    • Send payment link -A payment link sent to Registered Mobile Number and Email ID.
    • Buy Policy – Directly payment options will open here.
  5. After Successful payment a policy copy will generated and you will receive a message with new policy number and email with policy attachment.
  6. And also, you can find out policy in your portal by clicking View policy option available beside Renew Policy. From there you can download Policy copy PDF.

NIMA Policy Renewal without Login

  1. Download National Insurance Company Mobile App from Play store. Open app and you can see an option Renew policy without login click on it.
  2. Then Policy details will open showing Customer name, Customer ID, Vehicle details like vehicle number, engine and chassis number, contact details of customer, Premium to be paid also will be shown.
  3. Click on the radio button available Bottom of the screen for Payment option available, Below that two Options available
    • Send payment link -A payment link sent to Registered Mobile Number and Email ID.
    • Buy Policy – Directly payment options will open here.
  4. After Successful payment a policy copy will generated and you will receive a message with new policy number and email with policy attachment.
  5. Payment Options Available National Insurance Renewal online.

National Insurance Policy Payment Options

These are following payment options available to renew a Policy online in National Insurance Online Portal or with Mobile App

  • All Credit/debit cards are accepted
  • Net banking
  • UPI payments accepted.

With this above options, you can do your Car Insurance Renewal or Two Wheeler Insurance or other like National Insurance mediclaim renewal.
